| Powerful Addition to NewtonWorx™ Motion Controls |
|
The NewtonWorx line of modular motion controls from OES Inc. just expanded with the addition of the new NIS 225-P Intelligent Stepper Drive Platform offering a high performance on-board microcontroller – the ideal platform for custom tailoring product development. NewtonWorx brand motion controls offer exceptional flexibility and ease of use, featuring a modular system of drive boards for assembly as part of a complete machine control system. The modular design dramatically reduces machine development time; saving in engineering resources and costs in customizing designs for quick time to market. Like all the NewtonWorx brand motion controls, the NIS 225-P readily expands with the ‘pop-on’ addition of the optional daughter board to make a 3 or 4 axis stepper drive - true plug-and-play capability. The 32-bit on-board microcontroller on the NIS 225-P stepper drive provides all the power and speed required for the most intensive applications. For these sophisticated systems, the advanced stepper design incorporates interface control for encoders, limit switches, and relays, as well as a wide array of devices and communication protocols normally controlled in machine environments. Advanced options such as Ethernet, wireless, or USB interfaces are available on-board for complete high level communication with computers or PLC’s. The microcontroller platform of the NewtonWorx NIS 225-P stepper drive provides the capability to have customized applications for custom machine designs. Machine designers can add or modify programming as required, with the capacity to handle large complex programs. OES can work with system integrators and designers to help customize products for incorporation into a design. Projects in motion stay in motion with NewtonWorx Motion Controls. Recipient of the 2008 Delphi Technology Pinnacle Award for Supplier Excellence, OES Inc. develops and deploys innovative and effective automation control systems and “in-process test and monitoring” solutions for a wide range of applications, including wire crimping, tube end-forming, crimp forming, riveting, and other pressing and forming applications.
